WAS Prothonotary Paddle

Join WAS for this fun and adventurous paddle down the Huron River from Hudson Mills to Delhi MetroPark, to see the locally rare Prothonotary Warbler, which nests in tree cavities along the Huron. Birders who need to rent canoes or kayaks, you must do so through Skip’s Huron River Canoe Livery for their earliest trip, the 9:00 a.m. trip. You must be there a minimum 1/2 hour before the trip starts. Read about parking changes and other details on the website.

Reservations are required, so do so today! These trips fill up fast. Skip’s is at Delhi MetroPark, and they’ll bus you upriver to their private Hudson Mills launching area. You must be prepared to wear a mask on Skip’s bus. Those with their own boats, meet at the Rapids View launch area at Hudson Mills, and we’ll pick up the renters along the way.
Children are welcome. Please, everyone, do not come unless you and your family are feeling well. Bring your own picnic lunch and beverages to enjoy at Dexter-Huron MetroPark, at about the trip’s halfway point. Let Juliet Berger, one of the trip leaders, know you’re coming at
