Recap of Our Butterfly Walk at Leonard Preserve!

We had a fantastic turnout at Leonard Preserve for our recent Butterfly Walk, with 25 nature enthusiasts joining us to explore the serene prairie and woods. Together, we marveled at nature’s beauty and observed an impressive array of 23 butterfly species, including the pictured Giant Swallowtail (photo by Zach Kemp). In total, our keen-eyed participants recorded 84 observations across 42 species of all taxa, making it a truly enriching and diverse experience.
