Butterfly Walk at the Leonard Preserve

Please join Washtenaw Audubon and our stalwart butterfly experts Roger Kuhlman and Roger Wykes at the Leonard Preserve in the Manchester area. Registration and attestation of COVID-19 vaccination (if eligible) is required.

We may have additional lepidopterists join the crew! Bring a clean plastic jar and any butterfly nets you have. Wear long sleeves and tuck your clothes in as ticks are possible here. Bring insect repellant. Our leaders will catch butterflies and display them in the jars. We’ll release them when we’ve had a chance to view them and take photos. The Leonard Preserve is also a fabulous place for birding, so bring binoculars too!
