SUMMARY:Happy Trails Day at Searles Preserve
DESCRIPTION:One of our goals at Searles Nature Preserve\, in addition to ecologically restoring this high quality natural area\, is to encourage the community to enjoy it. We want folks to spend time here and explore all that a biodiverse ecosystem has to offer. To further this goal\, we must maintain a trail system that is inviting and accessible. Though we have put significant effort in to ecological restoration\, many of the trails are overgrown and could really use your help. Come on out and help make Searles an enjoyable place to wander and wonder by helping trim back enbcroaching vegetation on the trails there. \nTools Needed \n\nWe provide hand tools\, leather gloves\, cold water\, bug spray\, and professional guidance.\nAnyone that has\, and can safely operate\, a brush blade or brush hog would be a heroically welcome addition! Please contact Matt Spoor in advance if you can help with this.\n\nDirections: Meet at the entrance to the preserve on Bolla Road between Crane and Stony Creek Roads.
