Washtenaw Bird & Nature Alliance seeks Board Officers who are willing to commit their skills and leadership to the highest possible impact toward our mission. A diversity of perspectives and skills within the board leadership is important. In particular, we welcome candidates with varying levels of birding expertise.
These are unpaid volunteer positions, for two-year terms commencing in July 2025, eligible for renewal – all in accordance with our Constitution and Bylaws. The current Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary intend to put their names forward for re-election, though interested applicants are encouraged to apply for all positions.
The Washtenaw Bird & Nature Alliance is an active chapter of Michigan Audubon formed in the early 1950’s. While the membership is concentrated in Washtenaw County, there are many members in surrounding counties in southeast Michigan and beyond. Our mission is to promote the conservation of wildlife and natural beauty in all possible ways, with a particular focus on birds; to cooperate with other organizations whose aims correspond to those of this corporation; and to develop and maintain a conservation program for the youth and adults of the community.
